Preparation for the EPSO tests, built around the questions you get wrong.
Support for the different EU institutions’ competitions, each with its own test mechanics. Five test areas, a written technique track for each of the three reasoning ones, an adaptive rotation that returns every mistake to you until you get it right, and Ollie, your specialised AI tutor, guiding you every step of the way. Twenty minutes a day, tracked honestly. Free to begin.
Answer one, and watch what the trainer does with it
Answer, commit, and read the reasoning, or ask Ollie if you are stuck. Get it right and the item retires. Get it wrong and it goes back into the rotation to find you again in a few days.
Under the ordinary legislative procedure, the Commission holds the right of initiative: as a rule, only it may propose a legislative act. Parliament and the Council then act as co-legislators, and the act is adopted only where both approve an identical text. If they have not agreed after second reading, a Conciliation Committee is convened. Where that committee fails to approve a joint text, the proposed act is deemed not to have been adopted.
Which one of the following statements is supported by the passage?
A smaller bank, cycled properly, beats a larger one skimmed once
One commitment per item
No skipping, no peeking: the same one-shot decision as the real test.
Errors re-enter the rotation
A wrong answer returns days later, once you’ve half-forgotten it. Working out why fixes it.
Mastered means finished
Get it right once and it retires. Ollie is on hand throughout, whenever you want a hint.
A study plan built around your exam date
Tell us when your test is, and your rotation paces itself to get you there. First-attempt accuracy is tracked separately from eventual accuracy, because only the first number predicts what happens in a room with a clock.
Abstract reasoning · Set 2
Five areas, five different failure modes
EPSO scores the reasoning areas separately, and a single weak area can end an otherwise strong application. Each row is a separate rotation, with its own technique track and analytics.
| Test area | What it actually measures | The trap that catches candidates |
|---|
Bank sizes grow monthly. Always check your notice of competition for the areas that apply to your profile.
Meet Ollie. Your personal AI tutor.
Ask anything, in any language, until you fully master your mistakes. Available 24/7, completely distraction-free, and laser-focused on getting you exam-ready.
Begin with the free pack
Ten items in every area, the full verbal reasoning technique track, and your first rotation tonight.
Train each area separately. They are scored that way.
A separate rotation per area means the dashboard can tell you the one thing that matters six weeks out: which area is actually costing you the place.
| Test area | What it actually measures | The trap that catches candidates | Bank |
|---|
The same bank, served four ways
Technique before volume
Short pages written for the format rather than the theory, each ending in three worked examples with the reasoning spelled out line by line.
Adaptive rotation
Sets drawn from the live bank with the on-screen tools of the real test: calculator and scratchpad, plus Ollie on hand, so the interface never costs you time on the day.
Time-boxed bursts
Ten minutes in one area. Built for the gaps in a working day, and for training the pace that decides the numerical section.
Full length, full pressure
Every area back to back under exam timing and exam scoring. Sit one early to find the weak area, and one a week out to confirm it is fixed.
Why the rotation is the product
The honest version of how this works, and what it will and won't do for you.
Volume is the wrong target
A thousand items answered once produces a thousand moments of recognition and very little retention. Reading an explanation straight after your attempt feels like learning; three days later most of it is gone. The trainer takes the opposite bet: a moderate bank, met repeatedly at widening intervals, with your own errors weighted to the front.
The streak is not a game, it is the mechanism
Spaced repetition only works if the spacing happens. The streak exists because the candidates who pass are the ones who opened the app on the Tuesday they did not feel like it, not because a number going up is fun. Miss a day and nothing is taken from you; the due items simply stack up, which is punishment enough.
First-attempt accuracy is the only honest score
Any platform can show a rising percentage if it counts second attempts. The dashboard reports first-attempt accuracy separately from eventual accuracy, because only the first predicts test-day performance.
What this will not do
It will not show you real EPSO questions: those are not published, and anyone offering them is either guessing or copying. It will not predict your score. It will not replace reading the notice of competition, which remains the only authoritative statement of what your competition tests.
A realistic schedule
Six to eight weeks at twenty minutes a day, with one full simulation at the start and one a week before the test. Candidates who compress this into two weekends report the same thing every time: they recognise the questions, and still run out of time.
Frequently asked
Is this affiliated with EPSO?
No. EU Exam Trainer is independent and has no affiliation with the European Personnel Selection Office, the European Commission or any EU institution. All items are written in-house in EPSO test formats; none are reproduced from a live or past competition.
Which competitions does it cover?
The reasoning areas apply across AD5 graduate competitions, specialist AD7 profiles, AST-SC and CAST Permanent. EU Knowledge and the field-specific bank are tagged by profile, so you can filter to what your notice of competition lists.
What language is the content in?
English and Italian today, with Greek, French and Spanish next. EPSO's testing is moving to remote delivery across all 24 official languages, so wider language coverage is a roadmap commitment rather than an afterthought.
What happens to my data?
An account stores your name and email if you give them, your competition and target date if you set them, and your progress and rotation state. No third-party advertising trackers, no selling your data. There is no self-service delete yet, use Report a problem inside the app and we will remove it directly. Full detail in the privacy notice.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. The rotation is designed for short sessions. Simulations are better on a laptop, where the layout matches the test environment more closely.
Free to start, and free to stay if that's all you need
The free pack is not a trial with a countdown behind it. Paid plans add the full bank, the timed simulations and the per-area analytics.

How we handle your data
Plain language first. Short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.
Last updated 17 October 2026
Who's behind this
EU Exam Trainer ("we", "us") operates this service and is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything in this notice, use Report a problem inside the app and we will pick it up from there.
What we collect
When you create an account: your name if you give it, your email address, and a password. We never see the password itself. Our authentication provider stores a salted hash of it, not the password.
The competition you're preparing for and a target exam date, if you set them. Both are optional and only personalise your study plan.
Your practice activity: which items you've answered, whether you got them right, your streak, and your rotation and mastery state. This is what the spaced-repetition system runs on.
If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. We never see your Google password.
Standard technical data every site collects: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, through our hosting provider's logs and cookie-less analytics.
How you use the app, for instance when you practise, reach the daily limit or start a payment, your answers to an occasional one-question survey, and, if you tell us, your exam result. This stays in our own database and is used in aggregate to improve the service.
Once paid plans are live, we'll also hold confirmation from our payment provider that you've paid and which plan. We won't receive or store your card details.
What we use it for
To run your account and keep your rotation, mastery and streak in sync if you use more than one device. To send account-essential emails, such as confirming sign-up or resetting your password. To keep the service secure and stop abuse, for instance one account's access being shared publicly. To understand, in aggregate, how the site gets used, so we can improve it.
If you set an exam date, we email you a few weeks after it to ask how the exam went, at most four times. Every one of these emails has a link to stop them, and you can also switch them off in Settings.
If you subscribe, we may also send you occasional emails about new features and offers. You are told this when you subscribe and can opt out then, in Settings, or from any of these emails. Free accounts never receive marketing emails.
Most of this relies on it being necessary to provide the account you asked for. Security and abuse-prevention rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the service usable for everyone. Anything genuinely optional would rely on your consent.
Cookies and local storage
A small number of cookies and browser storage entries keep you signed in and remember where you were in the app. These are strictly necessary, the site doesn't function without them, so they don't need separate consent under UK or EU cookie rules.
Site-wide traffic numbers come from Vercel's built-in analytics, which doesn't use tracking cookies or build a cross-site profile of you. There are no third-party advertising or tracking cookies here.
Who we share it with
A small set of providers run the service on our instructions: Supabase for accounts and the database, Vercel for hosting and analytics, Google if you choose to sign in that way, an email delivery provider for the emails described above, and, once paid plans are live, a payment processor.
Some of these process data outside the UK and European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, it's covered by the provider's own safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we'll remove your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires we keep limited records for longer, such as payment records, which tax rules require us to keep for six years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, and EU GDPR if you're in the EU, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or give it to you in a portable format. There's no self-service delete inside the app yet, use Report a problem inside the app and we'll action it directly, normally within a few days.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled a request, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your own country's data protection authority if you're in the EU.
Children
This is a tool for adults preparing for EU civil service competitions, which carry their own minimum working age. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Security
Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. Connections to the site are encrypted. Access to the underlying database is restricted. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we don't treat that as an excuse.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email.
The terms, plainly stated
What you're agreeing to when you create an account.
Last updated 14 September 2026
Who you're contracting with
EU Exam Trainer ("we", "us", "our") operates this service and is based in the United Kingdom. Creating an account or using the site means you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, don't create an account.
What this actually is
EU Exam Trainer is an independent practice tool for the selection tests used in EU institution competitions. We have no affiliation with EPSO, the European Commission, or any EU institution, and nothing here is official EPSO material. Real EPSO exam questions are never published, so no preparation product, including this one, can claim to reproduce them. Using this service doesn't guarantee you'll pass any test or competition.
Who can use it
You need to be at least 16 to create an account, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, usually 18, to buy a paid plan. If you're buying on behalf of an employer or someone else, you're confirming you have the authority to do that.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for everything that happens under your account. Give us accurate details when you sign up, especially your email, since it's how we reach you for anything that matters, including password resets. One account per person, please don't create extra free accounts to get around plan limits.
Plans and payment
The free pack is free permanently, not a trial with a countdown attached to it.
Paid plans (monthly and the 3-month plan) are shown with current pricing on the Pricing page. Pricing on this site isn't live for real payments yet. This section describes how it will work once it is.
Monthly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn't refund the current period. Your account reverts to the free pack, with your history, mastery and streak kept. Moving to a longer plan credits the unused part of the month; moving down takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for.
If you're in the UK or EU, you have 14 days from purchase to a full refund, no reason required, in line with distance-selling consumer protection law. After that, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Prices are shown in EUR, VAT included where applicable. Payment is handled by a third-party payment provider. We don't see or store your card details.
What you can and can't do with it
You can use the practice content and technique material for your own exam preparation. You can't scrape, bulk-download, redistribute, resell or publish it, use it to train another product, try to get around the paywall, reverse-engineer the app, or point automated tools at the site. We can suspend or close an account that does any of this.
Ownership
The EU Exam Trainer name, design and software are ours. Practice content is provided for your personal study. Using the service doesn't give you any ownership or reuse rights over it beyond that.
No guarantees
We built this because it's genuinely useful for preparation, not because it guarantees an outcome. We don't guarantee you'll pass any test, be placed on a reserve list, or be offered a role. That depends on far more than any practice tool. The service is provided as it stands, and features can change, be added or be removed as the product develops.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, for example death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Beyond that, our liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £0 if you're on the free plan. We're not liable for indirect losses, or for exam outcomes.
Ending your account
You can stop using the service and ask us to close your account at any time, use Report a problem inside the app. We can suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or where the law requires it.
Changes to these terms
We can update these terms as the service develops. A material change means we update the date above; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, this doesn't take away the protections your local consumer law gives you.
